A Prison for Elizabeth

by S. A. Sizemore
Full-length play about sisters Mary and Elizabeth Tudor, who battled over power and religion during 16th century England. In 1554 Queen Mary imprisoned her sister, Elizabeth (later Elizabeth I), in the Tower because Elizabeth would not recant Protestantism. The struggle between Catholicism and Protestantism nearly cost Elizabeth her life and irrevicably tore the relationship between the two sisters.
